The Health Care bill now goes to the House of Representatives, but this time the sleazy dealings are visible to the public—the Louisiana Purchase, the Cornhusker Kickback, and the Dodd Deal.
According to Fox, A mysterious $100 million earmark for a hospital “…at a public research university in the United States that contains a State’s sole public academic medical and dental school” was also included.
Nobody claimed credit for it until just an hour later, when Sen. Chris Dodd admitted to putting it in the bill for the University of Connecticut. Guess what? Dodd is in a tough re-election fight.
$100 million for a hospital? What about the other 49 states (I mean 57 states)? Is it the Federal Government’s (taxpayers) responsibility to pitch in $100 million for a hospital in Connecticut?
Isn’t this the very Senator Chris Dodd that the IAFF endorsed during the 2008 Presidential Primaries? The question is whether or not the IAFF (you!) will endorse him again during his Senate reelection campaign.

I guess IAFF won’t be endorsing Dodd.
